ipv6: icmp: clear skb2->cb[] in ip6_err_gen_icmpv6_unreach()

In ip6_err_gen_icmpv6_unreach(), the skb is an outer IPv4 ICMP error packet
where its cb contains an IPv4 inet_skb_parm. When skb is cloned into skb2
and passed to icmp6_send(), it uses IP6CB(skb2).
IP6CB interprets the IPv4 inet_skb_parm as an inet6_skb_parm. The cipso
offset in inet_skb_parm.opt directly overlaps with dsthao in inet6_skb_parm
at offset 18.
If an attacker sends a forged ICMPv4 error with a CIPSO IP option, dsthao
would be a non-zero offset. Inside icmp6_send(), mip6_addr_swap() is called
and uses ipv6_find_tlv(skb, opt->dsthao, IPV6_TLV_HAO).
This would scan the inner, attacker-controlled IPv6 packet starting at that
offset, potentially returning a fake TLV without checking if the remaining
packet length can hold the full 18-byte struct ipv6_destopt_hao.
Could mip6_addr_swap() then perform a 16-byte swap that extends past the end
of the packet data into skb_shared_info?
Should the cb array also be cleared in ip6_err_gen_icmpv6_unreach() and
ip6ip6_err() to prevent this?
This patch implements the first suggestion.
I am not sure if ip6ip6_err() needs to be changed.
A separate patch would be better anyway.

ip6_tunnel: clear skb2->cb[] in ip4ip6_err()

Oskar Kjos reported the following problem.
ip4ip6_err() calls icmp_send() on a cloned skb whose cb[] was written
by the IPv6 receive path as struct inet6_skb_parm. icmp_send() passes
IPCB(skb2) to __ip_options_echo(), which interprets that cb[] region
as struct inet_skb_parm (IPv4). The layouts differ: inet6_skb_parm.nhoff
at offset 14 overlaps inet_skb_parm.opt.rr, producing a non-zero rr
value. __ip_options_echo() then reads optlen from attacker-controlled
packet data at sptr[rr+1] and copies that many bytes into dopt->__data,
a fixed 40-byte stack buffer (IP_OPTIONS_DATA_FIXED_SIZE).
To fix this we clear skb2->cb[], as suggested by Oskar Kjos.
Also add minimal IPv4 header validation (version == 4, ihl >= 5).

BACKPORT: net: change accept_ra_min_rtr_lft to affect all RA lifetimes

accept_ra_min_rtr_lft only considered the lifetime of the default route
and discarded entire RAs accordingly.
This change renames accept_ra_min_rtr_lft to accept_ra_min_lft, and
applies the value to individual RA sections; in particular, router
lifetime, PIO preferred lifetime, and RIO lifetime. If any of those
lifetimes are lower than the configured value, the specific RA section
is ignored.
In order for the sysctl to be useful to Android, it should really apply
to all lifetimes in the RA, since that is what determines the minimum
frequency at which RAs must be processed by the kernel. Android uses
hardware offloads to drop RAs for a fraction of the minimum of all
lifetimes present in the RA (some networks have very frequent RAs (5s)
with high lifetimes (2h)). Despite this, we have encountered networks
that set the router lifetime to 30s which results in very frequent CPU
wakeups. Instead of disabling IPv6 (and dropping IPv6 ethertype in the
WiFi firmware) entirely on such networks, it seems better to ignore the
misconfigured routers while still processing RAs from other IPv6 routers
on the same network (i.e. to support IoT applications).
The previous implementation dropped the entire RA based on router
lifetime. This turned out to be hard to expand to the other lifetimes
present in the RA in a consistent manner; dropping the entire RA based
on RIO/PIO lifetimes would essentially require parsing the whole thing
twice.

commit 1671bcfd76fdc0b9e65153cf759153083755fe4c upstream. This change adds a new sysctl accept_ra_min_rtr_lft to specify the minimum acceptable router lifetime in an RA. If the received RA router lifetime is less than the configured value (and not 0), the RA is ignored. This is useful for mobile devices, whose battery life can be impacted by networks that configure RAs with a short lifetime. On such networks, the device should never gain IPv6 provisioning and should attempt to drop RAs via hardware offload, if available. UPSTREAM: net: Fix checksum update for ILA adj-transport

During ILA address translations, the L4 checksums can be handled in
different ways. One of them, adj-transport, consist in parsing the
transport layer and updating any found checksum. This logic relies on
inet_proto_csum_replace_by_diff and produces an incorrect skb->csum when
in state CHECKSUM_COMPLETE.
This bug can be reproduced with a simple ILA to SIR mapping, assuming
packets are received with CHECKSUM_COMPLETE:

This is happening because inet_proto_csum_replace_by_diff is updating
skb->csum when it shouldn't. The L4 checksum is updated such that it
"cancels" the IPv6 address change in terms of checksum computation, so
the impact on skb->csum is null.
Note this would be different for an IPv4 packet since three fields
would be updated: the IPv4 address, the IP checksum, and the L4
checksum. Two would cancel each other and skb->csum would still need
to be updated to take the L4 checksum change into account.
This patch fixes it by passing an ipv6 flag to
inet_proto_csum_replace_by_diff, to skip the skb->csum update if we're
in the IPv6 case. Note the behavior of the only other user of
inet_proto_csum_replace_by_diff, the BPF subsystem, is left as is in
this patch and fixed in the subsequent patch.
With the fix, using the reproduction from above, I can confirm
skb->csum is not touched by inet_proto_csum_replace_by_diff and the TCP
SYN proceeds to the application after the ILA translation.

BACKPORT: bpf: tcp: Add bpf_skops_hdr_opt_len() and bpf_skops_write_hdr_opt()
The bpf prog needs to parse the SYN header to learn what options have been sent by the peer's bpf-prog before writing its options into SYNACK. This patch adds a "syn_skb" arg to tcp_make_synack() and send_synack(). This syn_skb will eventually be made available (as read-only) to the bpf prog. This will be the only SYN packet available to the bpf prog during syncookie. For other regular cases, the bpf prog can also use the saved_syn. When writing options, the bpf prog will first be called to tell the kernel its required number of bytes. It is done by the new bpf_skops_hdr_opt_len(). The bpf prog will only be called when the new BPF_SOCK_OPS_WRITE_HDR_OPT_CB_FLAG is set in tp->bpf_sock_ops_cb_flags. When the bpf prog returns, the kernel will know how many bytes are needed and then update the "*remaining" arg accordingly. 4 byte alignment will be included in the "*remaining" before this function returns. The 4 byte aligned number of bytes will also be stored into the opts->bpf_opt_len. "bpf_opt_len" is a newly added member to the struct tcp_out_options. Then the new bpf_skops_write_hdr_opt() will call the bpf prog to write the header options. The bpf prog is only called if it has reserved spaces before (opts->bpf_opt_len > 0). The bpf prog is the last one getting a chance to reserve header space and writing the header option. These two functions are half implemented to highlight the changes in TCP stack. The actual codes preparing the bpf running context and invoking the bpf prog will be added in the later patch with other necessary bpf pieces. There is no functionality change for this patch. Struct bpf_iter_reg is used to register a bpf_iter target, which includes information for both prog_load, link_create and seq_file creation. This patch puts fields related seq_file creation into a different structure. This will be useful for map elements iterator where one iterator covers different map types and different map types may have different seq_ops, init/fini private_data function and private_data size. The seg6_validate_srh() is used to validate SRH for three cases: case1: SRH of data-plane SRv6 packets to be processed by the Linux kernel. Case2: SRH of the netlink message received from user-space (iproute2) Case3: SRH injected into packets through setsockopt In case1, the SRH can be encoded in the Reduced way (i.e., first SID is carried in DA only and not represented as SID in the SRH) and the seg6_validate_srh() now handles this case correctly. In case2 and case3, the SRH shouldn’t be encoded in the Reduced way otherwise we lose the first segment (i.e., the first hop). The current implementation of the seg6_validate_srh() allow SRH of case2 and case3 to be encoded in the Reduced way. This leads a slab-out-of-bounds problem. This patch verifies SRH of case1, case2 and case3. Allowing case1 to be reduced while preventing SRH of case2 and case3 from being reduced . UPSTREAM: seg6: fix SRH processing to comply with RFC8754
The Segment Routing Header (SRH) which defines the SRv6 dataplane is defined in RFC8754. RFC8754 (section 4.1) defines the SR source node behavior which encapsulates packets into an outer IPv6 header and SRH. The SR source node encodes the full list of Segments that defines the packet path in the SRH. Then, the first segment from list of Segments is copied into the Destination address of the outer IPv6 header and the packet is sent to the first hop in its path towards the destination. If the Segment list has only one segment, the SR source node can omit the SRH as he only segment is added in the destination address. RFC8754 (section 4.1.1) defines the Reduced SRH, when a source does not require the entire SID list to be preserved in the SRH. A reduced SRH does not contain the first segment of the related SR Policy (the first segment is the one already in the DA of the IPv6 header), and the Last Entry field is set to n-2, where n is the number of elements in the SR Policy. RFC8754 (section 4.3.1.1) defines the SRH processing and the logic to validate the SRH (S09, S10, S11) which works for both reduced and non-reduced behaviors. This patch updates seg6_validate_srh() to validate the SRH as per RFC8754. Commit b121b341e598 ("bpf: Add PTR_TO_BTF_ID_OR_NULL
support") adds a field btf_id_or_null_non0_off to
bpf_prog->aux structure to indicate that the
first ctx argument is PTR_TO_BTF_ID reg_type and
all others are PTR_TO_BTF_ID_OR_NULL.
This approach does not really scale if we have
other different reg types in the future, e.g.,
a pointer to a buffer.
This patch enables bpf_iter targets registering ctx argument
reg types which may be different from the default one.
For example, for pointers to structures, the default reg_type
is PTR_TO_BTF_ID for tracing program. The target can register
a particular pointer type as PTR_TO_BTF_ID_OR_NULL which can
be used by the verifier to enforce accesses.

UPSTREAM: bpf: net: Refactor bpf_iter target registration
Currently bpf_iter_reg_target takes parameters from target and allocates memory to save them. This is really not necessary, esp. in the future we may grow information passed from targets to bpf_iter manager. The patch refactors the code so target reg_info becomes static and bpf_iter manager can just take a reference to it. BACKPORT: net: bpf: Add netlink and ipv6_route bpf_iter targets
This patch added netlink and ipv6_route targets, using
the same seq_ops (except show() and minor changes for stop())
for /proc/net/{netlink,ipv6_route}.
The net namespace for these targets are the current net
namespace at file open stage, similar to
/proc/net/{netlink,ipv6_route} reference counting
the net namespace at seq_file open stage.
Since module is not supported for now, ipv6_route is
supported only if the IPV6 is built-in, i.e., not compiled
as a module. The restriction can be lifted once module
is properly supported for bpf_iter.

UPSTREAM: bpf: Allow any port in bpf_bind helper
We want to have a tighter control on what ports we bind to in
the BPF_CGROUP_INET{4,6}_CONNECT hooks even if it means
connect() becomes slightly more expensive. The expensive part
comes from the fact that we now need to call inet_csk_get_port()
that verifies that the port is not used and allocates an entry
in the hash table for it.
Since we can't rely on "snum || !bind_address_no_port" to prevent
us from calling POST_BIND hook anymore, let's add another bind flag
to indicate that the call site is BPF program.

BACKPORT: crypto: lib/sha1 - rename "sha" to "sha1"
The library implementation of the SHA-1 compression function is confusingly called just "sha_transform()". Alongside it are some "SHA_" constants and "sha_init()". Presumably these are left over from a time when SHA just meant SHA-1. But now there are also SHA-2 and SHA-3, and moreover SHA-1 is now considered insecure and thus shouldn't be used. Therefore, rename these functions and constants to make it very clear that they are for SHA-1. Also add a comment to make it clear that these shouldn't be used. For the extra-misleadingly named "SHA_MESSAGE_BYTES", rename it to SHA1_BLOCK_SIZE and define it to just '64' rather than '(512/8)' so that it matches the same definition in <crypto/sha.h>. This prepares for merging <linux/cryptohash.h> into <crypto/sha.h>. BACKPORT: sysctl: pass kernel pointers to ->proc_handler
Instead of having all the sysctl handlers deal with user pointers, which is rather hairy in terms of the BPF interaction, copy the input to and from userspace in common code. This also means that the strings are always NUL-terminated by the common code, making the API a little bit safer. As most handler just pass through the data to one of the common handlers a lot of the changes are mechnical. BACKPORT: bpf: Add socket assign support
Add support for TPROXY via a new bpf helper, bpf_sk_assign(). This helper requires the BPF program to discover the socket via a call to bpf_sk*_lookup_*(), then pass this socket to the new helper. The helper takes its own reference to the socket in addition to any existing reference that may or may not currently be obtained for the duration of BPF processing. For the destination socket to receive the traffic, the traffic must be routed towards that socket via local route. The simplest example route is below, but in practice you may want to route traffic more narrowly (eg by CIDR): $ ip route add local default dev lo This patch avoids trying to introduce an extra bit into the skb->sk, as that would require more invasive changes to all code interacting with the socket to ensure that the bit is handled correctly, such as all error-handling cases along the path from the helper in BPF through to the orphan path in the input. Instead, we opt to use the destructor variable to switch on the prefetch of the socket. ipv6: np->rxpmtu race annotation
[ Upstream commit 9fba1eb39e2f74d2002c5cbcf1d4435d37a4f752 ] Add READ_ONCE() annotations because np->rxpmtu can be changed while udpv6_recvmsg() and rawv6_recvmsg() read it. Since this is a very rarely used feature, and that udpv6_recvmsg() and rawv6_recvmsg() read np->rxopt anyway, change the test order so that np->rxpmtu does not need to be in a hot cache line. Similarly to ipv4 tunnel, ipv6 version updates dev->needed_headroom, too.
While ipv4 tunnel headroom adjustment growth was limited in
commit 5ae1e9922bbd ("net: ip_tunnel: prevent perpetual headroom growth"),
ipv6 tunnel yet increases the headroom without any ceiling.
Reflect ipv4 tunnel headroom adjustment limit on ipv6 version.
Credits to Francesco Ruggeri, who was originally debugging this issue
and wrote local Arista-specific patch and a reproducer.

icmp: fix icmp_ndo_send address translation for reply direction

The icmp_ndo_send function was originally introduced to ensure proper
rate limiting when icmp_send is called by a network device driver,
where the packet's source address may have already been transformed
by SNAT.
However, the original implementation only considers the
IP_CT_DIR_ORIGINAL direction for SNAT and always replaced the packet's
source address with that of the original-direction tuple. This causes
two problems:
1. For SNAT:
Reply-direction packets were incorrectly translated using the source
address of the CT original direction, even though no translation is
required.
2. For DNAT:
Reply-direction packets were not handled at all. In DNAT, the original
direction's destination is translated. Therefore, in the reply
direction the source address must be set to the reply-direction
source, so rate limiting works as intended.
Fix this by using the connection direction to select the correct tuple
for source address translation, and adjust the pre-checks to handle
reply-direction packets in case of DNAT.
Additionally, wrap the `ct->status` access in READ_ONCE(). This avoids
possible KCSAN reports about concurrent updates to `ct->status`.

ipv6: sr: validate HMAC algorithm ID in seg6_hmac_info_add

The seg6_genl_sethmac() directly uses the algorithm ID provided by the
userspace without verifying whether it is an HMAC algorithm supported
by the system.
If an unsupported HMAC algorithm ID is configured, packets using SRv6 HMAC
will be dropped during encapsulation or decapsulation.

syzbot was able to craft a packet with very long IPv6 extension headers
leading to an overflow of skb->transport_header.
This 16bit field has a limited range.
Add skb_reset_transport_header_careful() helper and use it
from ipv6_gso_segment()

net: ipv6: Discard next-hop MTU less than minimum link MTU
commit 4a65dff81a04f874fa6915c7f069b4dc2c4010e4 upstream. When a ICMPV6_PKT_TOOBIG report a next-hop MTU that is less than the IPv6 minimum link MTU, the estimated path MTU is reduced to the minimum link MTU. This behaviour breaks TAHI IPv6 Core Conformance Test v6LC4.1.6: Packet Too Big Less than IPv6 MTU. Referring to RFC 8201 section 4: "If a node receives a Packet Too Big message reporting a next-hop MTU that is less than the IPv6 minimum link MTU, it must discard it. A node must not reduce its estimate of the Path MTU below the IPv6 minimum link MTU on receipt of a Packet Too Big message." Drop the path MTU update if reported MTU is less than the minimum link MTU. With a VRF, ipv4 and ipv6 FIB expression behave differently.
fib daddr . iif oif
Will return the input interface name for ipv4, but the real device
for ipv6. Example:
If VRF device name is tvrf and real (incoming) device is veth0.
First round is ok, both ipv4 and ipv6 will yield 'veth0'.
But in the second round (incoming device will be set to "tvrf"), ipv4
will yield "tvrf" whereas ipv6 returns "veth0" for the second round too.
This makes ipv6 behave like ipv4.
A followup patch will add a test case for this, without this change
it will fail with:
get element inet t fibif6iif { tvrf . dead:1::99 . tvrf }

Alternatively we could either not do anything at all or change
ipv4 to also return the lower/real device, however, nft (userspace)
doc says "iif: if fib lookup provides a route then check its output
interface is identical to the packets input interface." which is what
the nft fib ipv4 behaviour is.
