"Check *all* unused fields and flags and all the padding for whether
it's 0, and reject the ioctl if that's not the case. Otherwise
your nice plan for future extensions is going right down the
gutters since someone *will* submit an ioctl struct with random
stack garbage in the yet unused parts. Which then bakes in the ABI
that those fields can never be used for anything else but garbage."
It's important to ensure that reserved fields are set to known value,
so that it will be possible to use them latter to extend the ABI.
The same reasonning apply to comp_mask field present in newer uverbs

Trying to have a ternary operator to choose between NULL (or 0) and the
real pointer value in invocations leads to an impossible choice between
a sparse error about a literal 0 used as a NULL pointer, and a gcc
warning about "pointer/integer type mismatch in conditional expression."
Rather than clutter the source with more casts, move the ternary
operator into a new INIT_UDATA_BUF_OR_NULL() macro, which makes it
easier to use and simplifies its callers.

This isolates the custom S3C64xx GPIO definition table to
<linux/platform_data/gpio-samsung-s3x64xx.h> as this is
used in a few different places in the kernel, removing the
need to depend on the implicit inclusion of <mach/gpio.h>
from <linux/gpio.h> and thus getting rid of a few nasty
cross-dependencies.
Also delete the CONFIG_SAMSUNG_GPIO_EXTRA stuff. Instead
roof the number of GPIOs for this platform:
First sum up all the GPIO banks from A to Q: 187 GPIOs.
Add the 16 "board GPIOs" and the roof for SAMSUNG_GPIO_EXTRA,
128, so in total maximum 187+16+128 = 331 GPIOs, so let's
take the same roof as for S3C24XX: 512. This way we can do
away with the GPIO calculation macros for GPIO_BOARD_START,
BOARD_NR_GPIOS and the definition of ARCH_NR_GPIOS.

need to depend on the implicit inclusion of <mach/gpio.h>

We also delete the nifty CONFIG_S3C24XX_GPIO_EXTRA stuff.
The biggest this can ever be for the S3C24XX is
CONFIG_S3C24XX_GPIO_EXTRA = 128, and then for CPU_S3C2443 or
CPU_S3C2416 32*12 GPIOs are added, so 32*12+128 = 512
is the absolute roof value on this platform. So we set
the size of ARCH_NR_GPIO to this and the GPIOs array will
fit any S3C24XX platform, as per pattern from other archs.
ChangeLog v2->v3:
- Move the movement of the S3C64XX gpio.h file out of
this patch and into the follow-up patch where it belongs.
ChangeLog v1->v2:
- Added an #ifdef ARCH_S3C24XX around the header inclusion
in drivers/gpio/gpio-samsung.c as we would otherwise
have colliding definitions when compiling S3C64XX.
- Rename inclusion guard in the header file.

Checkpatch complains about the following errors:
- unnecessary forward declarations in a source file
- assignment in if condition
In addition to that the __init and __exit macros were missing at the init and
cleanup function.
There are still two warnings left for this file related to too many leadingtabs
at nested blocks. I did not touch this issue becasue the code needs really some
refactoring. And since i do not have the appropriate hardware to test the code,
i do not change the functionality in any way.

- missing empty line after local declarations
- empty line after {

Commit e6789cd3df (uio: Simplify uio error
path by using devres functions) converted uio to use devm_request_irq().
This introduced a change in behaviour since the IRQ is associated with
the parent device instead of the created UIO device. The IRQ will remain
active after uio_unregister_device() is called, and some drivers will
crash because of this. The patch fixes this.

Fengguang Wu used CF=-D__CHECK_ENDIAN__ to check the GenWQE driver for
endian issues. Sparse found a couple of those. Most of them were caused
by not correctly handling __be64/32 and __u64/32. Those I was able to
fix with appropriate castings.
One more serious issue was the ATS entry in struct genwqe_ddcb_cmd.
The kernel expected it in big-endian, but the type was defined __u64.
I decided that it is better to keep the interface consistent using
host endian byte-odering instead of having a mixture. With this change
the kernel likes to see host endian byte order for the ATS entry. That
would have been an interface change, if someone would have used the
driver already. Since this is not the case, I hope it is ok to fix it
now.
For the genqwe_readq/writeq/readl/writel functions I enforced the casts.
It still complains, as far as I can see, about some copy_to/from_user()
usages:

JZ4740 USB Device Controller is not OTG compatible and does not have
DEVCTL register in silicon.
During ethernet-over-usb transactions, on reset, musb driver tries to
read from DEVCTL and consequently sets device as host (A-Device)
instead of peripheral (B-Device), which makes it a composite device to
the USB gadget driver.
This induces a kernel panic during power down where the USB gadget
driver does a null pointer dereference when trying to access the
composite device configuration.
On reset, do not rely on DEVCTL value for setting gadget peripheral
mode. Use is_otg flag instead to set it to B-Device.

The enum_ids and var_field_width fields of struct pinmux_data_reg and
pinmux_cfg_reg are initialized using compound literals. Cast them to
const to store them in .rodata.

We need to wait for any outstanding DIO to complete in a couple
of situations. Firstly, in case we are changing out of deferred
mode (in inode_go_sync) where GLF_DIRTY will not be set. That
call could be prefixed with a test for gl_state == LM_ST_DEFERRED
but it doesn't seem worth it bearing in mind that the test for
outstanding DIO is very quick anyway, in the usual case that there
is none.
The second case is in inode_go_lock which will catch the cases
where we have a cached EX lock, but where we grant deferred locks
against it so that there is no glock state transistion. We only
need to wait if the state is not deferred, since DIO is valid
anyway in that state.

In patch 209806aba9 we allowed
local deferred locks to be granted against a cached exclusive
lock. That opened up a corner case which this patch now
fixes.
The solution to the problem is to check whether we have cached
pages each time we do direct I/O and if so to unmap, flush
and invalidate those pages. Since the glock state machine
normally does that for us, mostly the code will be a no-op.

In nft's nft_exthdr_eval() routine we process IPv6 extension header
through invoking ipv6_find_hdr(), but we call it with an uninitialized
offset variable that contains some stack value. In ipv6_find_hdr()
we then test if the value of offset != 0 and call skb_header_pointer()
on that offset in order to map struct ipv6hdr into it. Fix it up by
initializing offset to 0 as it was probably intended to be.
