Objective is to bring the slider down to COMPACT position on power up and power down. If slider is not in COMPACT position at power up driver will attemp to determine its position and required direction to move it to COMPACT based on data reported by sensors. If slider is not in COMPACT position at power down driver won't rely on sensors data since there is no mechanism guaranteeing that SPLI core and sensors HAL will remaing running until slider gets to COMPACT position. Thus entirely based on pre-defined sequence assigned to the current position at power down.
